Welcome to zizakdotcom 2.0! sticky icon

Welcome back to zizakdotcom! teamzizak recently completed the migration from mambo (www.mamboserver.com) to drupal (http://drupal.org) Check out their respective sites for more information.

The decision to do so was based on drupal's ease of use, vast selection of customizable modules, extensive theme and ecommerce options and overall look and feel. Drupal's development and visibility certainly has picked up steam over the last year or so over other CMSs', perhaps this fact sealed the deal when switching to drupal.

All Work and No Play Make Suki a Dull Girl

All work and no play, make Suki a Dull Girl. All work and no play, make Suki a Dull Girl. All work and no play, make Suki a Dull Girl. All work and no play, make Suki a Dull Girl. All work and no play, make Suki a Dull Girl. All work and no play, make Suki a Dull Girl.

Nine Inch Nails, Sacramento, CA - December 12, 2008

The Gunk and I had a rockin time at Arco Arena in Sacramento at the highly anticipated Nine Inch Nails show, Friday December 12th, 2008.

We were totally prepared for an audio / visual assault that NIN brings like no other. And for 2 hours, they destroyed every synapse with an audio / visual overload overwhelming all preparation...

These pics do NOT do justice to the experience (because my camera on my Crackberry sucks), but one can extrapolate the magnitude of energy and intensity that was in the air that fateful Friday evening.

Every Parent's Wish

So we are wrapping another day at TeamZizak HQ, and we are chilling out and winding down watching CSI-Whatever and Max dropped one of his many keen, astute (hopefully prophetic) observations.

The scene on CSI was graphically displaying the Medical Examiner cracking open a body who just had the unfortunate demise of spontaneously combusting.

Max, with wide eyes, observed this scene and started to immediately pontificate on his pending demise.

He said, to Mom and Dad listening intently...

Tell Us How You REALLY Feel

This afternoon, Mom, Suki and I went out for a nice little lunch.
En route to the restaurant, Suki, as usual, is chattering in the backseat and spouts out in her
raspy, little voice, "Max is my brother!"

I reply, "Awwww! How cute is that?! That's a nice thing to say!" Suki returns a nice smile to my rearview.

I ask, "Do you love Max?"

She plops her head down on the side of her carseat and pretends like she is sleeping.

I ask again... "Suki, Do you love Max?"

Now I got me a FAVORITE picture

I could look at this all day long.

Television Repair and a Father and Son - A Success Story

Let me give you a little history. Our television has been on the fritz lately (yes, fritz is the technical term)... We have not been able to reliably power it on. It rapidly degraded over the past week or so. Just in order to get the pig to power on, I would have to pull the power plug out and plug it back in. A real ass pain as you can imagine.

A New Menu at Zizakdotcom to Choose From

Hey zizakdotcom'ers!

A couple of you eagle-eyed zizakdotcom surfers noticed the new menu items at the top of the site. Good job and thanks for the inquiries!

In not so eloquent terms you asked... " What the *$%# are those new menu items? What do they do and what do they mean?"

Well, let me tell you...

I am a techno-geke by nature. It is what I do. It is how I put food on the table. The new menu items are tools and utilities I use on a routine basis to determine the health of my systems that bring you zizakdotcom.

Specifically...

You Don't Mess with the Mensour

It's funny how things work sometimes.

Last week, against my better judgement, we rented and watched "Don't Mess with the Zohan", Adam Sandler's latest, unfunny, unwatchable movie. After the movie, E and I looked at eachother and said, "I don't get it, it just wasn't good... at all." I even posted my displeasure with the movie at a music forum I frequent... Yes, it's THAT bad.
